The 176 islands of Tonga ranging from high volcanic to low coral terrain create scenic variety quite rarely in the world.

Tonga still maintains an unhurried and peaceful life style.


The islands are divided into four groups Tongatapu, Ha'apai, Vava'u and the Niua's.
Tonga is located NNE/SSW between latitudes 16oS and 23oS and longitudes 173o40W and 175o20W bordered on the east by the deep Tongan Trench.


Tonga receives less rain than other tropical areas and maximum Temperatures average with 25 C with moderate humidity.
A pleasant southeast trade wind attracts many Sailors’ from all over the world during May - November.


The summer season last from December - April when temperatures and humidity are higher but still pleasant to enjoy the beach and swimming in pristine water's.

Vava'u, the third of the island groups attract the greatest number of Tourists in the Kingdom every Year.

Well known as the marine playground of the south pacific and with its spectacular island scenic it is still the most unspoiled tropical paradise in the south pacific.


The greatest number of population and small industries businesses are concentrated on the main island of Tongatapu and the capital Nuku'alofa.

Most Tongans still grow their own food, build their own homes (fales and create their own handcrafts and household products (such as tapa, mats, handbags, baskets, brooms and placemats).

Food staples are yams, taro, casava, sweet potatoes and bread fruit.
In many villages, humans are outnumbered by domestic pigs, which range freely across the islands.

Tongan farmers have increased the production of vanilla, kava and nonu for exporting markets.
And the famous black pearls are available in Tonga in the same pure quality as well.
